Part Time Variable Learning Technician (A level Art and Design)
Hours: 7 hours per week (1 day per week)
Hourly rate: £13.92 per hour inclusive of holiday pay.
- the base hourly rate is £11.90 per hour, plus payment for holiday and preparation and marking time, which gives an approximate hourly rate of £13.92 per hour.
About the role
This role is to provide technical support for our A level Art and Design courses with a particular focus on A level Fine Art and Textiles. This will include overseeing the upkeep of the specialist A level studios, ordering of resources and supporting the A level tutors with any other technical requests.
Although prior knowledge is essential, training will be given to some aspects of the role.
There is some flexibility around the day to be worked in the week.

About the Person
You must be well organised and knowledgeable about Art and Design and specifically the technical aspects of Fine Art and Textiles. This will include maintenance and upkeep of specialist equipment (sewing machines/ printing presses etc) as well as knowledge of producing stretchers and wood panels for painting.
Training will be given to access machinery in the wood workshop but prior knowledge is desirable.
