We're recruiting for a Lecturer-Plumbing to join our Apprenticeship team on a full time, permanent basis. The salary scale for this role is £24,872 - £43,440 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, depending on qualifications and experience. * An additional market-rate supplement of up to £10k may be available for this role, depending upon an individual's skills and experience The Role; Our Apprenticeships department are preparing young people and adults across the plumbing disciplines to enter the workforce. You'll provide inspiration, skill and practical experience to students across our department's courses. You'll also contribute to the development of our course offer, building on our innovative provision. Key responsibilities of our Lecturer-Plumbing; Plan and develops lessons, including the development of schemes of work Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and development feedback for our students Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standard in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students in order to support them in their own development and future progression Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector Our ideal Lecturer-Plumbing should have the following qualifications, skills and experience; Hold a teaching qualification and have experience of teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors Possess an assessor qualification Possess an Internal Quality Assurance qualification or be prepared to undertake Have recent and relevant experience of teaching subject to learners from Entry Level to Level 3 with knowledge of Plumbing & Heating also Gas pathway. Possess excellent interpersonal and team development skills and have the ability to contribute to the team and its goals.
