We're recruiting for a Lecturer - SEND to join our team on a part-time (14.4 hpw, 0.4 FTE), permanent basis. The salary scale for this role is £24,872 - £43,440 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, depending on qualifications and experience - to be pro rata'd to 0.4 FTE. The Role; Our Horizons Department is based at our accessible Rush Green Campus. As part of our Team you will provide inspiration, skill and practical experience to students across our department's courses. You'll also contribute to the development of our course offer, building on our innovative provision. Key responsibilities of our Lecturer - SEND; Plan and develops lessons, including the development of schemes of work Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and development feedback for our students Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standard in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students in order to support them int heir own development and future progression Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector Our ideal Lecturer - SEND should have the following qualifications, skills and experience; Possess a teaching qualification with a relevant subject specialism or be prepared to undertake a further education teaching qualification Have recent teaching and assessment experience in either Functional Skills English or maths Have recent and relevant experience of teaching 14- 19 year old learners with challenging behaviour Have recent teaching and assessment experience in either Functional Skills English or maths All applicants should have good administrative skills and be able to accurately track students' attendance, progress and achievements.
