The Trainee Lecturer role provides our learners with additional support in relation to their maths skills by working closely with Lecturers to identify and put into place appropriate support. Support may be provided one-to-one, in small groups or as whole class teaching. This role largely focusses on the delivery of functional skills and GCSE maths provision. We deliver maths lessons to a range of students from foundation to Higher Education, either on a stand alone basis or as part of their chosen course. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with learners from age 16 plus and truly influence their career choices, whether they are looking to further their education or enter the workplace. We work closely with other departments and faculties to ensure that our English and maths provision meets the needs of our learners, whatever their background taking into account any barriers to learning. This is a great introduction to teaching as you will be working alongside more experienced colleagues, provided with full training and support and gaining experience of all aspects of teaching. Our in-house Learning Practice team provides fantastic support to all of our teaching staff and works with them on an individual basis to develop a training programme that provides robust training and development; whether starting with a level 3, 4 or 5 teaching qualification, through a range of delivery options to include apprenticeships.
