Position: Training and Assessment Facilitator – Early Years and Childcare Apprenticeships
Salary: £31,098 - £34,968 per annum (pro-rated for part time)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Sheffield
Hours: 22.5 hours per week X 52 weeks per year

Working with apprentices in early years can be immensely rewarding. By supporting candidates' career progression, you play a crucial role in shaping the future workforce of this vital industry. The College’s apprenticeship programmes involve collaboration with a diverse range of employers, including schools and nurseries, underlining the importance of the early years sector in the local community. The College is committed to developing workforce skills to support this sector's future needs.
In this role, you will be part of a small team, reporting to the Apprenticeship Manager for Health and Science.
Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of the programme to meet employer demands, ensuring a high-quality teaching and learning experience. This position is an excellent opportunity to impact the growth of workforce skills in a crucial sector for the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with a caseload of apprentices, helping them progress and achieve their qualifications.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of apprenticeship standards
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to meet the demands of employers and ensure a high-quality teaching and learning experience.
Skills & Knowledge

- Strong background in early years and childcare
- A relevant occupational qualification at level 3 or above
- Hold a TAQA qualification, or equivalent, or be willing to work towards this as part of your role.
- Experience working within a nursery setting
