The team is responsible for delivering GCSE English to learners from all curriculum areas across the College as part of our learners' full-time programmes of study or apprenticeship. We are looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Lecturer who can deliver high quality teaching and learning to meet the diverse needs of our 16 –18 year old learners in Functional Skills English on an ad hoc basis. You should have relevant experience and have taught functional skills level 2 and/or GCSE English. The successful applicant must have : Degree level qualification (or equivalent) Level 2 minimum qualification in Maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent). As a Cover Tutor lessons will be planned for you but you will be required to make adaptations to meet the individual learner needs in the class. Generally, our learners have struggled with English in school and require patience and support to facilitate their learning. You will have a flexible attitude to working as there are no set hours for this position. However, we are a supportive team who like to develop staff from within once they have joined us.
