HSDC has an exciting opportunity for a Work Ready Trainer to coach and train Adults wishing to enter the security industry.
About the role
The College has an excellent track record in delivering Adult Education programmes and the successful applicant will use this as a platform to build on.
This individual will be responsible for the full spectrum of SIA licence training and assessment, specifically Door Supervision, ensuring learners possess the necessary knowledge and skills to excel as security operatives. A commitment to professionalism and excellent communication is essential, as is the ability to deliver exceptional service to both learners and employers. While not mandatory, being able to deliver customer service skills or English and Maths would be an advantage.
This role is focussed on supporting those who are out of work back into employment.
Contract: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: Fixed Point Grade 4, Spine Point 18, £31,254.43
Fixed term contract for 12 months
You will be responsible for
- Training learners to pass SIA exams and be eligible to apply for SIA Door Supervisor License
- Development of learning resources and materials
- Linking with relevant employers to ensure progression into work for Adult Learners
- Maintaining strong relationships with referral partners and internal Partnership Co-ordinators
- Delivery other programmes to Unemployed learners as required
You will need
- Excellent track record in delivery adult education programmes
- Knowledge of Security SIA
- Assessor qualification (A1 or equivalent)
- Proven assessor experience is desirable
