The Additional Learning Support team is seeking to recruit a qualified teacher with SEND experience to deliver outstanding Learning support assessments and teaching sessions. This role will be split between Havant and South Downs Campuses.

Salary: Grade 5 FTE £32,201.16 - £42,078.86 FTE (actual salary: £12,880.46 - £16.831.54)
Contract type: Permanent
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in supporting learners with a wide variety of SEND needs including Autism Spectrum Conditions, Specific Learning Difficulties, ADHD, SEMH and sensory issues. A level 5 (or above) qualification in SEND or exam access arrangements would be beneficial, but not essential.
You will be responsible for
- Planning effectively and delivering high quality teaching, learning, assessment and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention and achievement.
- To deliver formal scheduled teaching duties, tutorials (as appropriate) and student assessment.
- To record, share and regularly monitor student progress using College information systems.
- To prepare learning plans schemes of work, keep relevant records and undertake all administration relevant to teaching duties.
- To attend parents’ evenings, marketing and promotional events.
You will need
- Level 5 or equivalent Teaching Qualification such as Certificate in Education or PGCE or willingness to work towards this.
- High level of specialist knowledge of the subject area
- At least 2 years’ experience in teaching the subject area to full-time or part-time students (Desirable).
- Degree in relevant subject (Desirable)

- For more experienced teachers, or those who have completed the Award, you will be welcome to join our Certificate in Education or PGCE course through our partnership with Portsmouth University. You will receive a financial contribution and a reduction in teaching time to support you in becoming a fully qualified teacher!
