Main Purpose of the Role
To enable learners to achieve their aspirations and goals through guidance and support. To deliver effective teaching, learning, and support to learners, ensuring progression against targets set in negotiation with the learner.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver engaging and creative learning to meet the needs of learners, including those with barriers to learning.
- Deliver learning and evidence progression to meet targets set for learners, enabling them to meet or exceed their goals.
- Motivate, enable, and drive learners to achieve their goals through outstanding teaching and learning.
- Create individual support plans tailored to learners' individual needs, considering results of assessments.
- Provide pastoral support to learners as required, aiding engagement and achievement of their goals.
- Deliver and facilitate teaching, learning, and support that encourages accelerated and autonomous learning.
- Consistently deliver a high standard of performance - quality driven.
Requirements
- Good standard of general education, including 5 GCSEs at grade C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent.
- Understanding of EHCP Plans and Annual Review process.
- AET (Level 3) or equivalent Teaching/Training qualification.
- Experience working with learners with SEND.
Salary
£25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
