Apprenticeship Improvement Coach
Location: Remote + Travel around the North Yorkshire areas
Salary: £26,000 – £36,000 + fuel expense
What you'll be doing?
A well-established training provider is looking for an Improvement Coach to support and mentor apprentices throughout their learning journey.
You'll be covering the Level 3 Improvement Technician and Level 4 Improvement Practitioner standards.
This role is focused on teaching, coaching, and guiding learners, ensuring they gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours to succeed in their industry.
Working directly with apprentices in their workplaces, you’ll deliver engaging training sessions, conduct regular progress reviews, and provide tailored support to help them achieve their qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality training and coaching, ensuring apprentices apply new knowledge and skills in their roles
- Support learners in developing their English, Maths, and ICT skills at Level 2
- Conduct regular workplace visits to assess progress and keep apprentices on track
- Work closely with employers to ensure apprentices receive the right support in the workplace
- Guide learners in gathering portfolio evidence and preparing for End-Point Assessment
- Monitor learner well-being and take steps to support retention and completion rates
- Embed safeguarding, Prevent, and British values into all training sessions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards through ongoing professional development
- Complete all necessary administration and documentation in line with quality and funding requirements
- Promote the organisation’s training services at relevant events and networking opportunities
What You’ll Need
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant occupational area
- Assessor qualification (D32/33, TAQA Level 3, or equivalent)
- Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English
- Experience delivering apprenticeship training and assessments
- Knowledge of Government-funded training programmes
- Strong communication and coaching skills
- IT proficiency, including experience using electronic portfolio systems
- Ability to manage your own workload and work independently
Desirable (or willingness to work towards):
- Teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS)
- Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification (D34 or V1)
Other Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
- Willingness to travel and work flexibly when required
