About The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a passionate Games specialist, to deliver and lead on our thriving Games and Esports courses, ranging from Level 2 to HE. The role will require the successful candidate to deliver at our Bede Campus within the Arts Academy, with the possibility some sessions maybe at the British Esports Federation's North East Performance Academy in Sunderland, offering the best skills development and employment opportunities for learners in the region.
We are seeking to add to our existing team with an additional, highly creative and enthusiastic specialist with the skills and experience to ensure our learners are industry ready with the right skills and knowledge for the workplace. We are interested with those who particularly have skills within VFX, Animation and 3D.
This role will enable you to be working alongside some of our partners such as British Esports Federation staff and the experts they bring into their centre, and NextGen Skills Academy.
About The Candidate
The successful candidate will be an outstanding versatile teaching practitioner, from industry or new to teaching, with relevant vocational and leadership competence within Games. You will be able to lead a programme of study and monitor and track your learners. You will possess the ability to deliver high quality classes, with high expectations, that enthuse and inspire learners and best prepare them for their next steps.
You will have access to deliver sessions within industry standard classrooms and have access to our Innovation Centre which is home to an Immersive 360 Igloo and a Motion Capture studio.
You will either possess or be willing to work towards a Teaching Qualification.
