Job Title: H&S / Skills Trainer
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: £40000 - £55000
Location: North West and UK
The Role:
- To deliver a range of H&S courses including, but not limited to, health & safety, first aid, fire safety, manual handling, EUSR, NPORS, CSCS, tools qualifications and cable avoidance tools.
- Deliver training courses and skills training in line with company and accreditation bodies standards procedures.
- Requirement to travel.
- Complete administrative tasks relating to the completion and delivery of training programmes.
- Provide summative and formative constructive feedback to learners using appropriate methods to recognise achievements and inform future learning objectives.
- Attend training meetings to compare and share good practices and maintain consistently high training and assessment standards.
- Work collaboratively with the broader training team and internal/external stakeholders.
- Attend Training and Quality meetings throughout the year.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Practical experience working in the utility, civil engineering, construction industries.
- Experience delivering a range of health and safety training within the last 2 years.
- Experience of speaking in front of groups.
- Current enhanced DBS. This can be applied for after successful onboarding.
- NEBOSH General/Construction
- IOSH Managing Safely / SMSTS
- L3 Award in Education & Training
- Be approved to deliver EUSR / CITB / NPORS courses, first aid, manual handling, fire safety, or other health and safety courses.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A learner-centred approach to problem-solving and breaking down barriers to learning.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with people at all levels and adapt to groups or individual needs as required.
- Outstanding planning and organisation skills which support the needs of the business.
- Computer literate with MS Office experience, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Maths and English skills appropriate to the training and delivery requirements.
- Expertise in identifying training needs expressed in terms of learning objectives.
- Positive team player who provides active solutions and is a positive role model to others.
