Job description:
The Workplace Assessor/Observer role is to work as part of a team, to record and take evidence of competency via observation of our trainee dental nurses, at various locations around Beds/Herts and Essex area.
We are looking to attract applications for both employed and self-employed people for the role. Suitable skills knowledge and experience in dental nursing is a requirement and candidate must be GDC registered. The role can be part-time or full-time and may include more remote learner assessing if full-time.
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
- Visiting learners in their workplaces to carry out observations, while they are undertaking their duties in and out of surgery, demonstrating competency as a trainee dental nurse.
- To record and submit observation evidence to the Lead Assessor.
- To use an E-portfolio system to assist in the assessment of learners’ work towards their qualification, where required.
- To attend all appointments required on the calendar system. These are coordinated by trained staff at the Centre and are planned in line with a specific curriculum as well as business and client requirements.
- Access the online calendar and learner information remotely and check appointments in advance to ensure all preparations are made to carry out learner appointments efficiently and effectively.
- To complete administration duties on allocated days and evidence activities undertaken.
- To record mileage accrued for all visits carried out and report to the Centre.
- To be a team player, adaptable to different surroundings and be an excellent communicator.
- To have good administrative skills and be self-motivated.

Applicants will possess:
- 3+ years as qualified Dental Nurse. Relevant work experience required.
- A current GDC registration is required.
- A clean driving license and own transport is required.
- An enthusiastic and professional approach
- Must have relevant assessor qualification (CAVA, A1, D32)
