Job Role: A-Level Law Lecturer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable A-Level Law Lecturer to join our academic team in Westminster. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for law to deliver high-quality education to students preparing for their A-Level exams. As an A-Level Law Lecturer, you will engage students with the fundamentals of law, ensuring they have a deep understanding of key legal principles and are well-prepared for their exams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning & Delivery: Design, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons on A-Level Law topics, covering areas such as contract law, criminal law, constitutional law, and human rights law.
- Assessment & Feedback: Develop and deliver assessments to monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development and exam preparation.
- Student Support: Provide individualised support to students, helping them to build their understanding of law and develop the skills necessary for success in their exams.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the A-Level Law curriculum, ensuring that it aligns with current examination board requirements and legal developments.
- Classroom Management: Maintain an inclusive and engaging learning environment, encouraging student participation, critical thinking, and active discussion of legal concepts.
- Exam Preparation: Guide students through exam preparation techniques, ensuring they are fully prepared for their A-Level law exams and can apply their legal knowledge effectively.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- A degree in Law or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- A relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Proven experience teaching A-Level Law or similar courses at Further Education or higher education level.
- Strong knowledge of A-Level Law curriculum and examination requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- A commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Desirable Skills & Attributes:
- Experience with exam boards and knowledge of the specific requirements for A-Level Law.
- Ability to incorporate real-world legal cases and contemporary legal developments into lessons to enhance student learning.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple classes and student needs effectively.
- A proactive, student-centred approach to teaching and academic support.
