Lecturer, Hospitality and Catering 15 hours per week, 52 weeks per year We are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join the Department of Service Industries which has an expanding Hospitality and Catering, curriculum area. The successful applicant will have industry experience and will teach across a range of courses at Levels 1, 2 and 3 with a knowledge of working with SEN learners will be desirable. Candidate will need to hold a Level 2 & 3 qualification. They will also have had a minimum of 3 years industry experience.
Ideally they will hold a teaching qualification but this is not essential and can be gained while teaching at the college. The post holder will ensure the needs of our learners come first and that every learner will be provided with opportunities to achieve their full potential within a safe, stimulating and supportive environment. You will be required to deliver high quality teaching and learning and you are expected to develop appropriate teaching techniques and materials which enable all learners to achieve their full potential and take account of educational initiatives. It is desirable but not essential that the successful candidate holds a teaching qualification and possess relevant experience, however if you do not have the relevant teaching qualification you will be expected to achieve these during your first 3 years of employment.
