The Opportunity:
We are looking to recruit a highly competent teacher and researcher with a strong publication trajectory (for appointment at both the Lecturer and the Senior Lecturer levels) and a sustained publication record (with requirements varying for appointment as Lecturer and Senior Lecturer).
For this appointment we are looking for applications from candidates with the ability to teach Reward Management and with the Quantitative Skills required to advise and supervise high quality Undergraduate, Masters and PhD students and projects.
The successful applicant will contribute to the objectives of the Business School by engaging in research and teaching of the highest quality, and publishing in leading international journals in their field. Depending on their specific area of expertise, the successful candidates will be expected to teach on the School’s Undergraduate and Masters programmes.
From time to time, members of academic staff may be asked to take on managerial and administrative duties, such as leadership of teaching programmes.
The successful applicant will contribute to the objectives of the Business School by engaging in research (40% of time), teaching (40% of time) and leadership (20% of time).
The successful candidate will be expected to teach and develop courses across a range of the School’s Master programmes (including HRM and International HRM), and on our Undergraduate Programme.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- A completed PhD in the relevant subject area
- Expertise and teaching experience in delivering courses in HRM and/or International HRM and/or Reward Management
- Experience of publishing in top journals
- Ability to work collegially with colleagues
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
