What you will do: Are you looking to kick-start your career in financial services PR and Communications within a Global Business? We are offering an exciting Level 4 Apprenticeship opportunity for a PR and Communications Assistant in our International (EMEA and APAC) communications team. This London-based role will provide hands-on experience in media relations, digital content creation, and strategic communications while you work towards a professional qualification. What you’ll be doing:
- Designing, implementing, and managing media tracking, reporting and measurement initiatives
- Working with spokespeople to schedule media interviews and facilitating any follow-up activities
- Facilitating regular engagement and overview of multiple external PR agency partners
- Drafting and securing approvals for press releases and other materials
- Responding to media enquiries
- Assisting in planning and hosting media events
- Evolving and maintaining social and digital approach
- Providing administrative support and diary management for the team
What you’ll be studying:
We are partnering with JGA, a well-renowned training provider in PR and Communications, to deliver this apprenticeship programme. Throughout the 16-months of the course content, you’ll cover a wide range of essential PR and Communications skills including:
- The fundamentals of PR, media relations, and communication strategies
- Writing and developing engaging content for different channels
- Social media management and digital content creation
- Ethical considerations, regulatory requirements, and reputational risk management
- Evaluating the success of media campaigns and communications initiatives
What you will bring
- Strong English and/or Maths A-Levels
- A keen in interest in PR, media, and corporate communications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management skills - able to manage multiple tasks, manage time and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
- Knowledge of social and emerging media platforms
- Global worldview, knowledge of geopolitical and macroeconomic forces, and insatiable intellectual curiosity
- Ability to discern and capitalize on creative news angles, as well as establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders.
- Enjoys a collaborative work environment but also able to work independently.
- Analytical and lateral thinker
- Insatiable appetite to learn.
