DN Colleges Group is looking for a Technician/Instructor to support the motor vehicle curriculum by supervising and instructing learners in practical settings, ensuring they gain essential skills and knowledge.
Scope And Purpose
Guide and support learners through their courses, helping them achieve success in their future careers.
Daily Responsibilities
- Supervise and instruct learners in workshops, providing one-to-one and group guidance.
- Conduct learner reviews onsite and online.
- Participate in team meetings and quality assurance processes.
- Assist with curriculum development and marketing efforts.
- Ensure equipment maintenance and safety, including conducting safety inspections and maintain inventories.
- Demonstrate practical techniques to learners.
- Assist with purchasing supplies.
Essential Criteria
- Motor Vehicle/Automotive industry experience.
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant specialism.
- Ability to manage materials and equipment.
- Skills in planning and preparing teaching resources.
- Effective communication with staff and learners.
- Physical ability to lift equipment.
- Flexibility to work varied hours.
- Full UK driving licence.

Let’s Teach The LET’s teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.
Let’s Bloom
The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
