The Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Uniformed Services Lecturer to join our dynamic Sport & Uniformed Services department. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment, ensuring our students receive the best possible education and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assess students in practical settings, including the college gym, studio, sports field, and more.
- Lead by example, promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement improvement strategies to help students reach their full potential.
- Engage in recruitment and marketing activities, student interviews, and community liaison.
- Participate in curriculum development and the creation of high-quality learning materials.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students and stakeholders.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

About You:
- Holds an appropriate teaching qualification or substantial industry experience (or working towards a teaching qualification).
- Relevant subject expertise and a degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum Level 2 Maths and English.
- At least 5 years of industry experience in a related field (e.g., Army, Navy, RAF, Fire, Police, Criminology).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

This role is permanent, part time (4 days a week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday - 29 hours). Actual Salary: £24,776 - £32,300 per annum

Let’s Teach The LET’s teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.
Let’s Bloom
The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
