Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster Selborne is a Transformational Training programme with a strategic goal of modernising Royal Navy training to deliver "better trained sailors to the front line faster". You will provide subject matter expertise (SME) in Engineering to support apprentices progressing the Royal Navy (RN) Apprenticeship Programme (AP). You will look after and support learners through to their qualification. This role will involve overnight stays with travel to Marham on average every 4 weeks and the expected requirement is that there will be at least 3 nights away (travel and accommodation is paid for) What you'll be doing Conducting all enrolments for learners in aeronautical engineering Looking after apprentices studying Engineering (aeronautical) providing apprenticeship programme inductions, progress review assurances, training delivery and support services Assessing and conducting progress reviews with Royal Navy trainees including going onboard Royal Navy vessels Remote assessing of apprentices Work collaboratively with internal and external organisations to facilitate the timely delivery of any qualifications where mandated within the apprenticeship programme. Ensure all progress reviews, observations, communications, and other information regarding the apprentices are uploaded onto the Management Information System. What we're looking for: Qualification and/or background in Engineering is essential Have worked in a role that involves assessing within adult learning/education (desirable) Any knowledge of aeronautical/aviation engineering background would be beneficial Experience of working with apprentices would be advantageous Military experience highly desirable Experience of the use of technology to support learning delivery (MS Office ) Ability to attain UK SC clearance About Selborne Selborne is a wide scale, 12 year transformation of Royal Navy Training. The contract worth GBP 1 billion was awarded in December 2020 to a consortium led by Capita to deliver and modernise training for the RN.
