Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster This exciting new role has been designed to reflect and support key aspects of our new ways of working as part of the training modernisation programme for the Royal Navy. The Curriculum Development Manager will provide visible and inspirational leadership and management for individuals in the Curriculum team. Providing vision and encouragement to both the team and the Training schools alongside expert knowledge of educational research, pedagogy and assessment to develop a culture of active learning based upon evidence-based practice. Supporting the creation of inclusive, differentiated and digitally enhanced learning experiences for all Trainees including those with Specific Learning Differences and Neuro Diverse needs. What you will be doing: Providing visible and effective management and co-ordination of a team of 4 Curriculum Specialists Contributing to relevant aspects of the Curriculum Quality Improvement/Action Plans (QIPs/QIAPs) Supporting the growth of future bids and development work within the contract. Motivating, inspiring, encouraging and supporting educators / trainers to achieve a high-quality learning environment which has a positive impact for learners by building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders Advocating for inspirational teaching which has a positive impact on learners including the use of digital technologies to support and promote effective learning. Supporting and advising on curriculum and training design to ensure inclusive learning for all students with due regard for differentiation, specific learning difference and neuro diverse needs. What we're looking for: Proven experience of teaching and managing courses in a Further Education setting (16+) Minimum of level 5 qualification in education or equivalent Experience of development of new approaches to improve the learning experience for students A proven track record of effective engagement with stakeholders resulting in development and positive within teaching, learning and assessment. You will be comfortable talking and engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, be highly organised, collaborative and enthusiastic team player and encouraging others within the team to behave in a similar way Must be able to be cleared to UK SC level About Project Selborne Project Selborne is a wide scale, 12 year transformation of Royal Navy Training. The contract worth GBP 1 billion was awarded in December 2020 to a consortium led by Capita to deliver and modernise training for the RN. The consortia of partners known as Team Fisher includes Raytheon UK, Fujitsu and University of Lincoln together with 14 other UK-based suppliers.
