Description Job Title: Assessor in Electrical Department: Apprenticeships & Business Engagement Salary: up to £39,000 plus additional market supplement DOE Are you passionate about sharing your expertise in Electrical to help develop the skills of our students? We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assessor in Electrical to join our team and play a vital role in recruiting, delivering, and assessing competence-based training for our Electrical Apprenticeships. We are looking for an individual who is committed to providing outstanding training and assessment for apprentices. Key Responsibilities Support in the assessment and delivery of electrical apprenticeship standards to learners in college and at employer sites. Conduct regular assessments and complete reviews with employers, detailing learner progress, next steps, and areas for improvement to facilitate a collaborative approach to the achievement of apprenticeship standards Implement appropriate feedback and assessment systems to accurately check learning, adapting as required to ensure learner progress. Operate within the Quality Assurance framework. Participate in collaborative work with the relevant programme delivery teams to give advice and guidance on the practical applications of curriculum delivery. Set high expectations and develop and conduct assessment activity that supports learners to gain the knowledge skills and behaviours required to achieve their apprenticeship standard in a timely manner. Contribute to curriculum innovation, development, and implementation. Essential Criteria Possess a minimum of a relevant Level 3 vocational qualification in Electrical Installation Possess an assessor award (D32/33, A1 or equivalent) Possess a qualification in Math's and English levels 4 – 9(GCSE Grades A – C) or equivalent Track record of successfully delivering and assessing electrical installation apprenticeships Recent industry related experience relevant to the academic discipline Detailed knowledge of relevant course subject matter and examination and assessment requirements Experience of developing and maintaining external partnerships. Ability to provide clear, direct, and constructive written and verbal feedback Ability to inspire, motivate and raise the aspirations of learners through high quality teaching and assessment.
