An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and driven individual to join the world renowned WMG at the University of Warwick as Business Development Officer – Education. This role aims to raise awareness of WMG’s wide education portfolio, working with organisations to help de-risk and accelerate innovation and growth in the UK, and enabling businesses to access a range of education models, including short courses, apprenticeships, part time Masters and doctoral education. We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so. About You You will be a confident individual with a demonstrable track record of successful commercial management and achievement of challenging revenue targets within a technical or training environment. WMG was created to work with and for industry and is a leading international example of how academia works successfully with the private and public sectors, and this applied approach and understanding will form a critical aspect of your role. You will be able to demonstrate success in the securing of significant new business together with the ability to establish personal credibility with a broad range of management and technical practitioners. The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience of business development and/or key account management within an education environment. They will also have strong competence in understanding how each of the different education offerings can apply to each individual client, and they will feel comfortable engaging with stakeholders across the engineering and manufacturing sector.
