The Leadership and Management Development team requires an experienced learning and development professional. Our purpose is to develop the capability of our managers and leaders across the University. This population includes academic and professional services colleagues from supervisory roles to senior university leadership roles. We already have a comprehensive portfolio of development initiatives including workshops, coaching, digital learning, mentoring. Now we’re looking for someone to help us take this to the next level by strengthening our communications, engagement, evaluation and impact measurement. We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so. About You The successful candidate will be an experienced learning and development/HR professional. In particular you will have significant expertise in designing and implementing engaging communications plans. You will also be experienced in evaluating learning and development to establish its impact at an individual, team, departmental and organisational level. This is not a learning design and delivery role, although there may be scope for this to evolve in the future. About the Department We’re a small, friendly and committed team of L&D professionals. We take a strengths approach to how we work; as part of your induction you’ll be able to undertake a strengths profile and actively use this for your own development. We’re part of the University’s HR team. The role offers plenty of opportunity for collaboration across both HR and the wider University. This role is fixed term for 9 months initially, with potential to become a continuing role.
