The Role: This unique role involves training groups of Trade Union Representatives, in particular Health and Safety representatives, in all aspects of the Functions of a Trade Union Health and Safety Representative (H&S). The course you will be teaching on typically runs in weekly modules with 4 modules to gain an accreditation for the Unite Union H+S union representative, giving you plenty of time to share your vast knowledge and understanding of the subject. Other Key Responsibilities: Support learners in understanding the role the H&S Rep, gaining confidence in taking H&S matters to employers, brought to their attention by union members or by their own inspection and initiative and sharing thorough your knowledge of H&S legislation required to fulfil the reps role. Working with other tutors in the provision to deliver the Unite course. Potential to work across other courses within the overall Trade Union Education team. About you: If you have considerable practical experienced working as a H&S representative working as a H&S rep in the workplace, a relevant Teaching (Cert Ed) and H&S qualifications (TUC Dip OHS or Nebosh) and are ideally a member of a relevant professional organisation – IOSH, we want to hear from you.
