About the role
To oversee all assessments and support for learners with difficulties, differences, and disabilities. For ensuring that appropriate staffing rations are in place for leaners with SEN and will be responsible for ensuring positive relations are maintained with the local authority, the community and Institute staff. Line manages a team directly responsible for support and assessments
About the person
The successful candidate will have a strong and proven background in learner support and the EHC plan process. In addition to this you will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, have a proven record in partnership working and building excellent external relations. Sound knowledge and understanding of the code of practice and the requirement of OFSTED is essential. Candidates should also have prior experience working in a support role with management responsibilities. You will need to have experience of analysing data and writing reports and be ICT competency.
