Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a Culinary Arts, Catering and Hospitality Internal Quality Assurer to join our Work Based Learning Team in Cambridge on a variable hours basis for approximately 45 hours over the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated industry specialist to be involved in the quality assurance of the region’s future aspiring Chefs and Hospitality teams, through the Apprenticeship and Adult programmes at Cambridge Regional College. The primary role will be quality assuring our Culinary Arts, Catering and Hospitality provision, our team of professional assessors and their apprentices and adult learners. This position involves quality assuring against the Apprenticeship Standards and professional qualifications to level 4, both at learner’s place of employment and at CRC. Reporting to the Work Based Learning Manager, you will be required to support the department in line with college procedures, Awarding Organisations and maintain accurate, detailed written and computer-generated records for audit and compliance. You must be able to competently demonstrate a wide range of personal and current industry sector skills to ensure effective quality assurance and CPD in line with the AO requirements, What we are looking for in our role: Appropriate industry qualifications (Catering and Hospitality) to Level 3 or above are essential.Current occupational competency in Catering and Hospitality is essential.An IQA qualification is essentialPrior experience in a similar training role is essential.Ability to work flexibly when required including evening, weekend and summer holiday periodsIn possession of current driving license, and be willing to use own car, insured for business use, or alternative means to travel.Good communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail, organised, motivated and a team player.
