The full-time salary will be Specialist 2, £36,455 with a current market allowance for the required construction and assessing qualification, top up to £40,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have a high level of knowledge and expertise to fully support employers to design and shape the offer to meet their needs. You will have occupational experience within the sector and recent and relevant experience of delivery and assessment of plumbing related disciplines as part of apprenticeships. You will have an understanding of a large number of ever-changing multiple apprenticeship routes that reflect the industry expectations of change, immediacy and flexibility.
You will be required to use your expertise to provide a high quality learning environment and work closely with the Programme Area Lead and Head of Department to ensure this delivers the strategy of the College. You will work in a rewarding environment with young people and adults and this will require a flexible approach.
This is an exciting role that would suit a person with relevant vocational experience, who understands the complexity of the sector, involving the high level of change to both practices and ways of working. Who has good communication skills and is looking to apply those skills in a learning environment. You may be required to work regionally on employer sites.
You will be a highly self-motivated, energetic and driven individual, encompassing a strong sense of autonomy. You will possess strong presentation and communication skills and be able to demonstrate achievement of targets.
The ideal candidate will be required to deliver and assess up to level 3, and will be expected to proactively update their own industry knowledge on a regular basis. Knowledge of frameworks/standards is preferred and you are required to hold an appropriate assessor award or work towards.
