About the role
We are looking for a number of proactive, caring and professional individuals to work as part of our outstanding cross-college Learning Support Team.
In this role you will provide in-class support to enable learners with specific learning difficulties, disabilities or emotional difficulties to access their teaching and learning opportunities within the classroom environment; to provide individual/group support for learners experiencing a range of difficulties.
As a Learning Assistant you will need to be confident in supporting students with Maths and English, and sometimes IT.
We have a number of roles available and would be happy to consider applicants interested in term time only contracts for a set number of hours worked per week over the academic year (38 weeks), or a more flexible approach to fit in with other commitments e.g. a variable hours’ contract for 12 hours per week to finish when students take their exams in May.
As a member of our team you would be able to participate in comprehensive staff development days which we run to support our staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, as well as a wide range of free staff wellbeing activities ranging from mindfulness to pottery.
We would especially welcome applicants who are willing to undertake personal care/physical support.
