Who are we looking for? The college is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant to work as part of a large team of LSAs supporting learners across our faculties of Skills for Life, Alternative Pathways and Creative and Service industries. This role is managed directly by our Lead LSA/TA which is overseen by Head of SEND Support. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: To carry out facilitation of learning contributing significantly to the growth of provision curriculum and providing a diverse range of development opportunities for learners To develop learner experience within a variety of different settings Contribute to the planning and daily routine of the learners. Prepare learning resources to use within enrichment activities and sessions. Build relationships, plan, develop and maintain the employment and work experience activities for all foundation learners. To ensure high standards of physical, emotional social, and intellectual care for all learners The successful applicant will need to have experience of working with and leading small groups of children/young adults. It is essential to have experience in teaching, facilitating, assessing, or instructing learning and experience of working in a SEN setting would be highly advantageous. A DBS check will be required for this role. The ideal candidate will have level 2 or above in English & Maths, exposure to an education setting or previous Teaching or Learning Support experience. Desirable but not mandatory, hold Mental Health First Aider/Level 3 First Aid at Work and ELSA Qualification or willingness to work towards Please note: we are able to offer flexible working hours per week, this can be further explored during the interview.
