About the role We require a highly motivated individual to provide in-class support to students with a variety of needs, including support with difficulties/disabilities, literacy, numeracy and language. You will also provide emotional support and encourage participation in the learning environment. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support students studying a diverse range of subjects and may be required to work across the college's different centres within the SCC group. You will work alongside classroom tutors to break down barriers and ensure that learners are able to access the curriculum and reach their full potential. You will have an understanding of the issues facing young people with barriers to their learning. You should have some previous experience in support and be able to demonstrate a good standard of English, Maths and IT.
