About The Role
As the Lecturer in Computing, you will teach inspiring lessons to maximise the progress and development, and employability of our IT and/or Games students. You will teach computing and associated subjects to BTEC Level 1 Diploma in IT, BTEC Level 2 Diploma in IT, Level 3 90 Credit and Extended Diploma in IT and possibly some Higher Education. You will also be involved in delivery of the T-Levels curriculum in collaboration with employers and education providers, so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares students for entry into skilled employment.
About You
You should have a relevant subject degree/HND and proven teaching experience in subject specialism within an FE or HE environment. You will hold a teacher training qualification such as PGCE or DTLLS, or a commitment to achieve this, in a specified period. You will be passionate about supporting learners in developing their knowledge, practical skills and learning attitudes through the course to achieve student success.
The ideal candidate will have up to date knowledge in two or more of the following: Cybersecurity, networking, technical support, app development, web design and development, database design or project management.
