As part of our Team, you will provide inspiration, skill and practical experience to students across our department's courses. You will also contribute to the development of our course offer, building on our innovative provision. Key responsibilities of our Lecturer Plan and develops lessons, including the development of schemes of work Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and development feedback for our students Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standard in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students in order to support them in their own development and future progression Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector Our ideal Lecturer should have the following qualifications, skills and experience Possess a teaching qualification with a relevant subject specialism or be prepared to undertake a further education teaching qualification Have recent teaching and assessment experience in either Functional Skills English or Maths Have recent and relevant experience of teaching 14-19-year-old learners with challenging behaviour All applicants should have good administrative skills and be able to accurately track students' attendance, progress and achievements.
