Our criminology courses are global in scope, and we have a diverse and international student body who study at Arden University because of the flexibility that our degrees offer. We also place a strong emphasis on employability skills and active, authentic learning to enable our graduates to compete both nationally and internationally within and beyond the criminal justice sector.<br/><br/><strong>The Role – Lecturer in Criminal Justice<br/><br/></strong>As a Lecturer in Criminal Justice, you will report into one of our Senior Lecturers. In your role as Lecturer you will:<br/><br/><ul> <li>Deliver engaging and dynamic lectures both face-to-face and online for our blended and distance learning students.</li> <li>Take on module leadership, ensuring consistent quality and development of learning materials and schemes of work.</li> <li>Oversee assessment marking, create authentic assessments, and provide high-quality feedback.</li> <li>Lead or support the creation of new programmes and refresh existing ones to align with industry trends and employer requirements.</li> <li>Collaborate with colleagues to provide academic advice and support to students.</li> <li>Drive innovation in teaching methods, student support, and assessment techniques.</li> <li> You will be expected to go to the campus 3-4 days a week to suit the student timetable.<br/><br/> </li> </ul> <strong>About You:<br/><br/></strong><strong>Essential Skills / Experience<br/><br/></strong><ul> <li>You will be qualified to postgraduate level in Criminology or related subjects - Sociology, Psychology, Law.</li> <li>You should have experience teaching HE-level students.<br/><br/> </li> </ul> <strong>Desirable Skills / Experience<br/><br/></strong><ul> <li>A PhD level qualification in Criminology or a closely related field, or significant progress towards its completion.</li> <li>Ideally, you will hold FHEA or an equivalent teaching qualification.
