We offer education and training in almost all vocational areas at a variety of levels for a wide range of learners of all ages and starting points.<br/> <br/> Our students UCG attracts students from across London and beyond. Our students come from a diverse range of backgrounds. In the academic year 2022-23, we enrolled more than 3500 full time 16-18 students, 8,000 adult learners and over 450 apprentices across our Group. UCG currently enrol 250+ HE students per year, across 4 campuses onto 12 courses from STEM subjects (Science, Construction, Engineering, and Computing) to Business, Music and Professional Qualifications.<br/> <br/> We have around 1,000 dedicated, skilled and enthusiastic staff who always put the needs of our students first and we are now looking for a ESOL to join our cohort of dedicated staff.<br/> <br/> Our mission is to provide all our learners with the very best knowledge and to break down any barriers to learning. We deliver a learning experience that is unique, enjoyable and rewarding.<br/> <br/> <strong>About You</strong><br/> <br/> At UCG we offer a range of ESOL courses for both young learners and to adults. Courses for young learners include subjects relating to Business, Personal Development, ICT and GCSE Maths. The courses are delivered at Entry 3 to Level 2. Our well established and highly successful ESOL team deliver these courses to around 280 young learners and 2000 individual adultslearners across all of our campuses to learners who are looking to develop their English Language skills with a view to progressing onto higher levels of learning, into employment or starting their own businesses.<br/> <br/> The successful applicant will coordinate the effective delivery of the ESOL study programmes across various levels providing academic leadership for students, creating a curriculum that is engaging, relevant and coherent in line with local and national priorities. As a Lecturer, you will promote a stimulating learning environment and use a range of teaching and learning strategies and materials, including the use of digital resources, to encourage development of learners’ skills and understanding. You will support and motivate learners to meet their individual aspiration and goals and will coordinate the tracking of learners’ achievements. In your role you will lead study or adult programmes to attain outstanding achievement and student retention and progression.<br/> <br/> You will have sound organisational skills, your ability to work cooperatively and contribute positively and creatively to a team is also essential. Wand you will have the opportunity to work towards a teaching qualification. You will have a recognised ESOL qualification.
