Lecturer in Motor Vehicle within Apprenticeships
28.8 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
£32,732 - £39,096 per annum pro rata
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the City College Norwich Apprenticeships Team. We have an opportunity for a Lecturer with our Motor Vehicle team. We are looking for someone who has up to date skills in Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician industry.
There is a need to deliver to meet the demands of industry and to secure the future generation of mechanics and this role will be a key part of how we do that. In this role you will be assessing the Apprenticeship Level 3 Qualification in Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle).
We have high standards for our students in the tracking and recording of work and assessments so you will need to be well organised and efficient.
If you have been working in an environment where you are used to giving feedback constructively and setting challenging but realistic targets, that would be beneficial when applying for this job.
Ideally, you will have L3 qualifications in a relevant subject area however, we would love to hear from you if you have the appropriate industry skills and experience (five years minimum), great communication skills (written and verbal) and the patience to help others learn. You will need to be a confident user of IT.

As a College we are required to undertake various Safer Recruitment checks as set out within the guidance from the Department for Education Keeping Child Safe in Education. Please note: From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date. Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
