Lecturer in Inclusive Learning and MINT
18 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
£32,732 - £39,096 per annum pro rata
An exciting opportunity exists for a lecturer to join our Inclusive Learning and MINT team at our Norwich campus.
We are looking for a passionate individual who has previous experience of teaching learners with additional needs and/or disabilities and who has prior experience of working students experiencing extreme anxiety.
Our Connect course is a 2-day transitional provision for learners who have struggled to previously access education, and who require additional time and support to gradually access post 16 education.
As the course leader on the Connect course you will be responsible for designing and delivering a course curriculum and sessions which help your learners to settle into college, develop confidence, self-esteem and resilience. You will work with your students to begin to access the wider college and to prepare for their next steps.
You will be responsible for a small cohort of students and will work with the wider delivery and pastoral support teams to ensure that student's learning and support needs are met effectively. You will also record, and document progress made against individual EHCP outcomes.
You will be required to plan and sequence a broad curriculum that supports individual development and progress in line with your cohorts EHCP outcomes and any relevant qualifications. In additional to this you will attend and contribute towards annual reviews and recognise and record progress in line with departmental guidance.
Applicants should have a degree or equivalent qualification and recent relevant experience of working with learners with special educational needs. Ideally you will have teaching experience and be a qualified teacher.
