Here at Yeovil College we have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational individual to join our Health and Social Care team as a Programme Lead Lecturer in Social Work to lead and manage the BSC (Hons) Social work Programme in line with University of Gloucester (UOG) and Office for students’(OFS) guidelines. To lecture, assess, tutor and undertake academic and practice reviews to support learners.
It is essential that the successful candidate holds a BSc (Hons) or BA (Hons) in Social Work with a minimum of 3 year’s practice experience post qualification preferably in any of the following areas: Adult Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol misuse Adult Social Care, you will also be required to hold a Current SWE Registration as a Social Worker with commitment to maintain this throughout the period of employment at Yeovil College. Appropriately trained and experienced social workers without a teaching qualification can receive fully funded Teacher training provided by Yeovil College.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Current SWE Registration as a Social Worker commitment to maintain throughout period of employment at Yeovil College.
- A minimum of 3 year’s practice experience post qualification preferably in any of the following areas: Adult Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol misuse Adult Social Care.
- Current practice experience in the role.
- BSc (Hons) or BA (Hons) in Social Work.
- Teaching qualification, PGCE, DTLLS, DEAT or prepared to work towards one.
- English & Maths, GCSE grade C or equivalent.
- Commitment to research & Scholarly activities.
- Good interpersonal skills, shown through your ability to communicate clearly with learners, staff and others.
- Well organised, systematic approach to work.
- Flexible approach to workload

Full Time role, 37 hours per week, all year round, however Substantial part time will also be considered for the right candidate.
Salary £37,808 - £43,133 FTE , depending on qualifications and experience.
