We are seeking a highly motivated NMC/HCPC registrant to come and be part of our clinical education leadership team.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of our staff and our local community to access education and learning through an apprenticeship route, and to develop your leadership skills by providing inspirational leadership and strategic direction across our non-medical clinical apprenticeship provision. Working with colleagues from across the Clinical Education Team, Divisions and Workforce colleagues you will lead the team responsible for driving continued provision and expansion of our nursing apprenticeship programmes enabling staff to acquire knowledge, skills and behaviours to successfully complete their apprenticeship journey to professional registration and promotion.
Working with the Head of Non-Medical Education you will be responsible for leading all aspects of non-medical apprenticeship education delivery, governance and working closely with our HEI partners in order to ensure that our apprentices have a excellent learning experience throughout the duration of their apprenticeship.
Main duties of the job
To be the education lead for clinical apprenticeships, delivering the priorities and objectives for nursing and AHP apprenticeship education as identified by the Head of Non-Medical Education.
To provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure that the Trust’s apprenticeship provision is of high quality, through ensuring appropriate learning and development interventions and activities for all clinical apprenticeships.
Collaborate and work in partnership with key Trust stakeholders, partner Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), NHS England and Integrated Care System (ICS) partners.
To develop and implement learning and development strategies which are aligned to and support the strategic direction of the Trust with a key focus on clinical apprenticeships, recruitment and retention.
To be a key member of the clinical education senior leadership team promoting compassionate and inclusive leadership where all individuals can thrive and feel a sense of belonging.
To lead high quality educational support in practice areas by working alongside apprentices and role model key Trust values of kind, safe and excellent at all times.
