The Skills Hub is a Trauma Informed co-educational Alternative Provision for pupils in the London Borough of Hillingdon who cannot attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons. It currently offers places to pupils aged 11-16, many of whom have been, or are at risk of, permanent exclusion.
It is an exciting time for The Skills Hub we have recently moved into our brand new purpose-built site in the 2022-23 academic year and will expand its intake to 120 pupils aged from 5 to 19. The new Free School will offer extensive dedicated facilities for our primary provision as well as state of the art, science labs and sports facilities.

The ideal candidate
The post-holder will actively embrace and promote The Skills Hub’s strategic vision and core principles in the creation of trauma informed pastoral team, identifying efficiently and effectively students in need of intervention to ensure their physical and emotional welfare.
To actively promote a compassioned approach that supports, builds, and sustains positive relationships. To plan and deliver a range of activities and trauma informed interventions for students, requiring additional support with the development of their personal skills, to enable them to fully participate in learning and to make progress.
Under the direction of the Assistant Principal, the post holder will be responsible for the management of the pastoral team working effectively with students, teaching staff and parents to raise aspirations, confidence, retention, and achievements for progression to further studies or employment, and to promote full attendance.
