Head of Apprenticeship & Workforce Development
Salary: SET Grade 10 SCP 40 - 44, £43,694 - £47,754
Working hours: 37 hours a week, full time, all year
Contract type: Permanent
Start date: ASAP
Location: Kidsgrove with travel across SET academies as needed
We are seeking a Head of Apprenticeship & Workforce Development to lead the strategic design, delivery, and oversight of our Trust's employer-provider apprenticeship programs. You will ensure high-quality training, compliance with ESFA funding rules, and foster strong employer engagement to build an outstanding workforce within the Trust and beyond.
Responsibilities will include:
Lead the development and implementation of the Trust's Apprenticeship Strategy, aligning with sector needs and government policy.Ensure all apprenticeship programs meet ESFA, Ofsted, and IfATE standards.Drive innovation in apprenticeship pathways, collaborating with curriculum leads and industry partners.Take a data-led approach to track success, retention, and progression.
The successful applicant will have a degree or professional qualification in Education, Training, or Workforce Development, experience as an Ofsted nominee or leading an Ofsted inspection and have a strong understanding of digital learning platforms and blended learning strategies.
This role will require some travel to SET academies, so access to a vehicle and a full driving licence will be required.
