We’re looking for a highly driven, quality-focused sales professional to take this exciting next step in their career; joining a talented and ambitious customer engagement team in a role with clear scope for progression into a leadership position.
The Role
The aim of this role is to establish and develop productive relationships with clients to support with their business growth strategies and digital learning & development needs across IT Solutions, Digital Marketing, Software Development and Cyber Security.
The main focus will be to promote althaus digital skills bootcamp programmes and commercial offering, securing attractive and sustainable employment opportunities for our learners.
Once the contract has been secured, you will work with your clients to conduct a thorough digital training needs analysis across their organisation to provide impactful training opportunities to both existing staff and new recruits (sourced by our dedicated talent attraction team). Relationship building through exceptional customer service, market knowledge and an added value mindset is key.
The Person
Passionate about sales, you will have an excellent, up-to-date knowledge of the IT and digital sectors, and experience of working with both small to medium sized enterprises. As an engaging and self-motivated individual, you will also be adept at developing long-term client relationships while also maintaining sufficiently high outbound sales activity to maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
• Prospecting for new IT/digital bootcamp business across a variety of sectors
• Developing client relationships and increasing wallet-share
• Conducting high quality and productive digital training needs analysis across client base
• Maintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of all althaus programmes
• Delivering exceptional levels of customer service to our clients
• Supporting with the leadership, development and coordination of junior sales team members
• Achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
• Submission of accurate and timely sales reports/forecasts
• Maintenance of clear and accurate customer engagement records on CRM
• Taking a ‘digital first’ approach whenever possible

• The role will include some regional travel as per the needs of our clients and our business.
Essential Qualifications & Knowledge
• Strong understanding of the sector and the funding utilisation process
• Understanding of IT/digital bootcamp and apprenticeship standards
• Proven business development ability and comfortability working in a target-driven environment
• Some degree of professional leadership experience (not necessarily direct line management of staff)
• Confident presenting to both internal and external stakeholders at various levels: from senior management through to young people/apprentices
• High standards of personal integrity, professional conduct and customer service
• A full, clean drivers’ licence and access to own vehicle with business insurance

This is a hybrid role and will require travel to Derby (East Midlands) for meetings at least 2 days per week, so applicants will ideally be Midlands based, or within a reasonable commutable distance of Derby.
