What you can expect in a Sales Development Representative role at althaus:
We’re seeking a Sales Development Representative to join our talent team, with a specific focus on leveraging phone, email, and social networking tools to convert inbound interest into leads.
Reporting into our Head of Sales & Talent, you will be based at our Derby head office and focused on converting interest in our range of IT & digital apprenticeships, by understanding the needs of the consumer. The individual will develop a clear understanding of our range of services and will become an althaus ambassador.
We are seeking applicants who meet the following criteria:
- This role would suit someone who is comfortable in a phone-based position with a high emphasis on customer service.
- A proven track record of pro-actively making telephone calls to prospects or clients in a B2B environment.
- Confidence to work individually whilst playing an active role in both talent team and the business development team.
- Persuasive and compelling in expressing ideas and concepts.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate CRM systems.
- Organized with excellent time management skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
- Minimum of 6 months prior B2B experience – sales, customer service or call centre
- Strong ability to generate new business
- Have the autonomy to work on your own initiative and effectively manage your own workload to achieve deliverables
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Outstanding communication skills
- The ability to communicate upwards, providing accurate, timely and concise updates to the Head of Sales & Talent
- Confident, and motivated with strong negotiation skills
