<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/loose.dtd"><html><body><div class="show-more-less-htmlmarkup show-more-less-htmlmarkup--clamp-after-5 relative overflow-hidden"> We have an exciting opportunity available here at Barking and Dagenham College for <strong>Lead Learning Support Practitioner-Horizons (Lead LSP)</strong> to join our team.<br/><br/>You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return we will offer a competitive salary of £27,590 - £29,761 pa including London Weighting.<br/><br/><strong>The </strong><strong>Lead LSP-Horizons</strong> <strong>role:<br/><br/></strong>To work closely with LSP Coordinators in ensuring efficient day to day deployment of Learning Support Practitioners, providing LSP cover where required, delivering dyslexia support for students and undertaking EHCP Annual Reviews.<br/><br/><strong>Key Responsibilities of our </strong><strong>Lead LSP-Horizons</strong><strong>:<br/><br/></strong><ul> <li>Support Learning Support Practitioners across a specific curriculum areas.</li> <li>Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure they met the needs of learners.</li> <li>Provide targeted support to students with SEND, ensuring tailored interventions and progress monitoring.</li> <li>Lead EHCP annual reviews</li> <li>Oversee the progress reports and support plans.</li> <li>Develop and deliver staff training to enhance support strategies within the classroom</li> <li>Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.<br/><br/> </li> </ul> <strong>Our ideal </strong><strong>Lead LSP-Horizons</strong> <strong>should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:<br/><br/></strong><ul> <li>Experience and understanding of the issues related to Additional Learning Support</li> <li>Ability to recognize additional needs indicators in students and to act promptly upon them</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of specialist support and how to maximise the impact of it to improve student retention and attainment</li> <li>Level 2 or 3 qualification in a relevant subject area </li> <li>Level 2 English or Maths (or equivalent)</li> <li>SpLD qualification desirable <br/><br/> </li> </ul>If you are passionate about success and can do the above, then we want to hear from you!<br/><br/>You will need to submit a covering letter within your application demonstrating how your personality, skills and experience meet our values for this role.<br/><br/><strong>PLEASE NOTE;<br/><br/></strong><ul> <li>All applications forms must be fully completed, showing full education and employment details.
