An inspiring, innovative, dynamic, and enthusiastic Lecturer is required to join an established IT team. Applicants are welcomed from newly qualified teachers. The following are some examples of units you may be delivering to different levels:</p><p>Information Technology Systems / Using social media in business / Programming / Website Development / IT Project Management / Cyber Security and Incident Management / IT Services Delivery / Mobile Apps Development and Software Testing.</p><p>It would be a benefit if you had experience of delivering or willing to deliver T Level – Digital production Design and Development units and coordinate the Projects.</p><p>We would also expect a Lecturer to be able to code in Python, Visual C#, JAVA, HTML, CSS, JAVA Script, PHP, SQL & MS Access.</p><p>The post holder will be required to teach in evenings and weekends, if required.</p><p><b>Why this role matters: </b></p><p>There is an increased demand for dedicated and inspirational educators. There may be a requirement to teach on Level 4 programmes.</p><p><b>DUTIES</b></p><p>1. Managing the learning activities of students according to their educational needs.</p><p>2. Teaching effectively and efficiently students studying a range of part-time and full-time courses.</p><p>3. Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of students.</p><p>4. Developing, monitoring and evaluating curriculum provision and learning strategies.</p><p>5. Preparing assessment and learning materials for on-line learning.</p><p>6. Acting as a Tutor as required and providing guidance and support for students within the framework of a cross-college tutorial and pastoral care system.</p><p>7. Participating in the interviewing, admission, enrolment and induction of students.</p><p>8. Marketing of new and existing provision.</p><p>9. Maintaining discipline among students and safeguarding their health and safety both on College premises and when they are engaged in authorised College activities elsewhere.</p><p>10. Participating in the appraisal scheme and arrangements made for further training and professional development.</p><p>11. Taking personal responsibility for supporting, promoting and following all College policies in relation to health and safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity and data protection within the scope of the post.</p><p>12. Performing administrative and organisational tasks related to the work of the College, including participation in meetings arranged for any of the purposes described above.</p><p>13. Assist with open events, parents welcome evening and parents’ evenings, if required.</p><p>14. We are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. The post holder should be willing to undergo first aid training, respond to medical emergencies promptly, and provide immediate assistance to injured or ill employees until professional medical help arrives.</p><p><b>General Duties: </b></p><ul> <li>To ensure that the highest standard of customer service and care provided at all times.</li> <li>Attend and contribute to team meetings and quality improvement meetings where relevant.</li> <li>To attend progress review meetings to engage fully in the appraisal performance review process.</li> <li>Ensure that continued professional development is current and industry relevant.</li></ul><p>The post holder can be required to carry out any other duties consistent with the grade of the post, at any site on which the College may operate.</p><p>This job description is current at the date shown below.
