Job title: Inclusive Learning Practitioner (Learning Support Assistant)

Status: Full time and part time positions available. Permanent and Fixed Term positions available. This role is Term Time Only, working 36 weeks per year (based at Reaseheath College CW5 6DF).
We currently have a vacancy within our Learning Skills Centre for an Inclusive Learning Practitioner.
Reaseheath College prides itself on its inclusive approach to student support, assisting an increasing number of learners with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities to access Further Education and Apprenticeships.
The Learning Skills Centre (LSC) team provides essential support to learners. The LSC works in partnership with curriculum staff to support students to realise their potential.
The College is looking for dynamic people who have experience of successfully delivering support and guidance to young people and vulnerable adults to join its LSC team. You may have experience of having worked professionally with young people and/or vulnerable adults in an educational or care setting, which you could bring to the team.
Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the impact of specific learning difficulties, mental health difficulties and disabilities on learning, an understanding of diversity and social inclusion and a high level of interpersonal and communication skills. GCSE Maths and English Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) is essential. Previous experience in a support role and proficiency in MS Office applications are essential.
You may be required to provide both individual and/or group support to students in classroom based, online and practical sessions.
Please note this role constitutes ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment. You must have the right to work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence to support this.
