Be Extraordinary.'</p> <p><br/></p> <p><strong>Role Description</strong></p> <p>This is a part-time or full-time on-site role for a Plumbing Renewables Trainer at Abingdon and Witney College. The trainer will be responsible for delivering training in plumbing renewables including Air Source Heat Pumps, and providing exceptional customer service to adult learners and apprentices.</p> <p><br/></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deliver engaging and comprehensive training sessions in plumbing and renewable energy systems, including solar thermal, heat pumps, and other sustainable technologies.</li> <li>Assess learner progress through practical assessments, assignments, and exams, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure learner success.</li> <li>Develop and adapt training materials to meet industry standards and the evolving needs of the renewable energy sector.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all practical sessions.</li> <li>Collaborate with colleagues and industry professionals to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest technologies and best practices in plumbing and renewables.</li> <li>Support and mentor apprentices and full-time students, fostering a positive learning environment.</li> <li>Requirements:</li> <li>A recognised qualification in Plumbing (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).</li> <li>Proven industry experience, particularly in renewable energy technologies such as solar thermal, ground and air-source heat pumps etc.</li> <li>Teaching or training qualifications (e.g., PGCE, AET, or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards one.</li> <li>Strong communication and organisational skills with a passion for sharing knowledge and helping learners succeed.</li> <li>Commitment to staying updated on the latest trends in plumbing and renewable energy technologies.</li> </ul> <p><br/></p> <p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Previous teaching or assessing experience in a Further Education or professional training environment.</li> <li>Experience working with apprenticeship frameworks and vocational qualifications.</li> <li>Strong understanding of current environmental and sustainability trends impacting the plumbing industry.</li> </ul> <p><br/></p> <p>Join us at Abingdon & Witney College and inspire the next generation of plumbing professionals, helping them to lead the transition towards a greener future.</p> </div></body></html>
