Salary: £24,494 to £27,809 (Trainer Facilitator Band Point 1-6) Plus Excellent Benefits.
Contract Type: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Fixed Term until 1st August 2025.

We are recruiting for a Trainer Facilitator (TF) in the Social Science, Counselling, and Childhood Studies department to instruct/facilitate learning for students enrolled on a range of programmes as assigned by the Curriculum Head. The department offers a range of courses across different levels, with learners from high-school, 16-18 and adults. As a college, we are focussing on improving the personal development of our learners so that they develop the ‘power skills’ required to be able to flourish. The successful candidate would be expected to deliver and champion personal development on our study programmes across the department, along with delivering some of the core skills/theory to our 16-19 learners.
As a TF you may have a caseload of learners; supporting and monitoring progress whilst helping to ensure that the college meets its success measures and contractual requirements for the teaching programme. You will assess learners’ knowledge and competence as appropriate by formal or informal method as required by external examining bodies and internal procedures. You will contribute to curriculum development and implementation as well as assist in the implementation of pastoral and welfare systems provided for students.
The successful candidate should hold a relevant vocational qualification or hold a degree in social science, counselling, social care, childcare, education or a related discipline. You will need experience in teaching/facilitating and have a keen interest in/ an understanding of student-centred learning & the ability to develop effective working relationships with students – and staff.
