If you have a flair for creating engaging lessons and a commitment to student success, we want to hear from you!</p> <p><b> Department:</b> English, Maths & ESOL <b>Reporting To:</b> ESOL Curriculum Lead</p> <p><b> About the Role:</b></p> <p>As an ESOL Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education to both adult learners and 16-18 year olds. You will be responsible for teaching a range of ESOL qualifications from Pre-Entry to Level 2, as well as Functional Skills Maths at Entry 1-Entry 3. Your innovative and motivational teaching methods will inspire and engage students, helping them achieve their educational goals.</p> <p><b> Key Responsibilities:</b></p> <ul> <li>Deliver ESOL qualifications and Functional Skills Maths.</li> <li>Create and implement engaging and creative lesson plans.</li> <li>Manage classroom activities and ensure a positive learning environment.</li> <li>Conduct assessments and track student progress.</li> <li>Participate in curriculum development and quality assurance processes.</li> <li>Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to enhance the learning experience.</li> <li>Support student recruitment and retention through promotional activities and events.</li> </ul> <p><b> About you</b></p> <p><b> Essential Criteria:</b></p> <ul> <li><b>Education and Qualifications:</b> <ul> <li>Relevant teaching qualification.</li> <li>Minimum Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy.</li> <li>Academic qualification at Level 5 or higher.</li> </ul></li> <li><b>Work Experience:</b> <ul> <li>Expertise in ESOL and experience delivering a range of ESOL programmes.</li> <li>Experience working in a Further Education (FE) environment.</li> <li>Experience delivering to both 16-18 year olds and adults.</li> <li>Experience in assessing learners and undertaking the IQA process.</li> </ul></li> <li><b>Skills and Knowledge:</b> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of current academic standards and quality assurance.</li> <li>Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.</li> </ul></li> <li><b>Personal Qualities:</b> <ul> <li>Commitment to student success and a positive learning environment.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively and independently.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to equality and diversity.</li> </ul></li> </ul> <p><b>Desirable Criteria:</b></p> <ul> <li>Level 4 or higher qualification as an ESOL or Literacy specialist.</li> <li>Level 3 qualification in numeracy.</li> <li>Experience delivering blended learning approaches.</li> <li>Understanding of quality initiatives in Further Education.</li> </ul> <p><b> Why Join Us?</b></p> <p>At DN Colleges Group, we value ambition, support, partnership, innovation, responsibility, and equality.
