The purpose
As a Learning & Talent Partner you will support in the creation, development and execution of PureGym’s learning strategy for the UK, Denmark, Switzerland and USA. The purpose of the role is to work alongside the other Learning & Talent Partners to build consistent capability across the business through targeted strategic interventions that drive the desired culture, behaviours and skills and enable high performance.
The Team
The Learning Team forms part of the Gym Operations People Team. This team is made up of a Senior Learning and Talent Partner, two Learning and Talent Partners and a Digital Learning Designer, who are responsible for learning in the UK, Denmark, Switzerland and USA Markets. The Learning and Talent Partner will report into the Senior Learning and Talent Partner.
The role
Acting as a strategic partner in an advisory role, the Learning and Talent Partner will have the opportunity to work alongside the Gym Leadership and HR Business Partner teams to support the development and delivery of the learning strategy across the business.
The role is responsible for developing, alongside other Learning and talent Partners, PureGym’s learning strategy to enhance skills and behaviours and ultimately drive performance.
The focus will be to develop and build our core capabilities to support our current and future business needs through learning interventions to strengthen our talent pipeline.
As Learning & Talent Partner, you will be expected to:
- Support in the implementation of best in class learning initiatives across Gym Operations and the Centre in all Markets (as a secondary focus supporting International / Franchise).
- Design, develop and implement learning programmes/courses to ensure core capability is developed across the business.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and stakeholders to identify gaps and risks to the business and develop relevant learning interventions.
- Support in the creation and ongoing development of a strategic learning roadmap to build skills and capability where gaps have been identified and support the development of our future talent pipeline.
- Develop, improve and monitor our digital learning offering and LMS’s used across all Markets.
- Adopt an innovative approach to learning solutions, exploring technology and creative solutions.
- Support with learning reporting to measure the ROI of learning initiatives implemented, showing evidence of embedding of learning and effectiveness of courses delivered.
- Understand the areas of the business where we can best utilise the Apprenticeship Levy and PQ Funding, enhancing our internal learning proposition.
- Regularly review the current learning proposition across the business, ensuring it remains relevant and suitable to deliver the learning roadmap and operational plan.
- Support in ensuring the resource requirement for growth can be fulfilled with predominantly internally developed talent, by ensuring internal Progression Pathways are delivered to a high quality and continually updated alongside any operational changes.
- Ensure there is a continual focus on DEI awareness and training throughout the learning proposition to promote understanding and the benefit of workplace diversity and inclusion.
The person
- As Learning and Talent Partner, you should bring the following to the role:
- An understanding of adult learning requirements and approaches.
- An understanding of using technology based Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience of a range of learning solutions, being able to drive forward innovative and efficient thinking.
- Experience in partnering with stakeholders internally.
- Strong analytical, process and problem solving skills.
- Experience in programme managing multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to take technical subject materials, interpret them and produce effective resources to upskill and train team members and leaders.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, motivated and collaborative approach.
- Great people and relationship building skills.
